Kids' Gift Making Workshop for WO students, Kinder to 5th grade!

Students will visit crafting stations to make and wrap up gifts just in time for the holidays. Examples of possible projects: beading, wood burning, cocoa kits, key chains, mini games, metal stamping and more. Projects will vary on workshop night.

Hosted by several WO parents, staff, and alumni, the evening will include small bites to eat and refreshments, plus all the creative gifts to take home!

Come decorate the Edible Garden fence with us!

You, your child, or your whole family are invited to paint a wooden fruit or vegetable shape to be attached to the garden fence for all to see until next year's artwork is installed. After that, the shapes will come home to you to keep and cherish! All skill levels welcomed and desired! These petite, ~3-inch vegan rose pistachio mini bundt cakes, baked by our amazing 2nd grade parent Janki Chauhan of Orange Elaichi, are delicately flavored and perfectly packaged for you to take home (or enjoy right then and there at the auction!).

Each cake is a little edible work of art - fragrant with rose, topped with crushed pistachios, and baked with care. If you're unable to pick up your cakes at the auction, you can also find Janki at the De Anza College Farmers Market on Sunday, November 9.

Bring a little German tradition to your Christmas breakfast or any holiday festivity this year with a homemade traditional German Christmas stollen!

This bread will be lovingly mixed, kneaded, and baked in the home of one of our Washington Open moms, Marie Ngo. She and her family have been making Christmas stollen as long as she can remember.

Stollen is a delicious sweet yeast bread, made with candied fruits and sliced almonds. If you wish to have marzipan in the center, your wish will be granted! The stollen will be baked as early as December 1, and you can keep it in your freezer until you're ready to serve.

Serving is simple. Warm it in the oven at 250 degrees Fahrenheit for about 15 or 20 minutes, add a little more powdered sugar to the top, slice and serve!
